If there's one thing I know we all have it's that voice in the back of your mind, you know, that's also sometimes right in the forefront of your mind screaming in your face. You know the one.
Your inner critic.
We all have one and guess what? They're...mean. Like really mean. Like who-didn't-love-you-enough-as-a-child mean. Since your inner critic is part of you I'll leave you to ponder that on your own...
Now before I get too serious, I made light of this phenomenon we all have as creatives in this week's humorous video. "If Your Inner Critic Was A Real Person..."
Your inner critic actually has a lot of depth, and a lot of fear. It rises up to try and hold you back because it's trying to protect you. Where you are is super comfortable even if you're not taking action, not happy, and feeling disappointed. At least you know what you get.
When you start to stretch yourself, step into your creativity, and really go full steam ahead the inner critic is there with all your old bullshit to keep you safe in your less than happy bubble. So how do you really dismantle your inner critic?
Ignoring them won't work. Rewriting their shitty criticisms only goes so far. What do you really have to do? Well, every crappy thing your inner critic says is based on a deeper oppressive belief, message, or conditioning that you've internalize. To dismantle your inner critic you have to dismantle the root beliefs that are feeding them.
Sound easy? Nope? Well, I'll be real, it isn't. That's why I step in to guide people through the process.
You can start the process yourself with my FREE Unblock Your Dream Life video and workbook guide. It'll guide you through uncovering your limiting and oppressive thoughts and beliefs AND where they come from so you know what actually needs to be cleared for you to take action.
Comment below (or on the YouTube video itself) and share your inner critic's favorite bullshit things to tell you.
