This past weekend I made a big change to my appearance. I shaved my entire head. Considering my previous hairstyle was shaved sides, dark roots, and bleached-blond hair, shaving my whole head may not seem sooooo drastic. But once the idea to do it crept into my head some interesting thoughts.
I had questioning thoughts about whether I'd still be attractive, or feminine, or blah blah ::insert busted ass oppressive patriarchal and racist judgement about Black Women here:: I'm talking thoughts that I don't actually believe but were creeping up anyway because of the old way we're conditioned to see see beauty and value women based on attractiveness.
So shaving my head was actually an act of rebellion and liberation. Watch the whole story below!
